As of Monday, January 22, applications for co-financing for the protection of intellectual property (IP) are open for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Latvia within the framework of the “Ideas Powered for business” support fund. In total, there are four support vouchers for different services:
Voucher 1: up to EUR 700 can be used for IP feasibility study services (IP Scan) and in case of IP rights violations (IP Scan Enforcement);
Voucher 2: up to EUR 1000 can be used for registering trademarks and/or designs (application and registration fees) both in the European Union and in Latvia and other countries;
Voucher 3: up to EUR 1500 for patent registration and up to EUR 2000 for legal services related to the preparation and submission of a new European patent application;
Voucher 4: up to EUR 1500 EUR can be used for plant variety protection at EU level.
The support will be available until December 6, 2024 or until the funds are exhausted. Support is granted on a first-come, first-served basis and available funds are limited, so we recommend that you do not hesitate to apply! It is also important to remember that you must first apply to the fund and only after receiving the voucher can you apply for registration of your IP!
