| Maruta Vitina graduated from University of Latvia with a diploma in chemistry in 1980 and received her Master’s degree in Chemistry from University of Latvia in 1993. She has a special education in intellectual property and works in this field since 1983. Prior to joining Agency TRIA ROBIT in 1998, she worked at the Patent Department of the University of Latvia and at the Engineering Centre “Masinbuve”. She is a qualified Latvian Patent, Trademark and Design Attorney since 2001, European Trademark and Design attorney since 2004 and a European Patent Attorney since 2005. Maruta is an active participant and lecturer at various seminars and other intellectual property events. As of 2002, she is a member of the Latvian Association of Patent Attorney and a member of AIPPI. She practises in the field of inventions, trademarks and industrial designs. |  |
